Hogshead – Strathmill 11

This 11-year-old Strathmill is one of the first releases from the new Hogshead label, by Hogshead Imports from The Netherlands.

At the Van Gils liquor store in Lelystad I joined a Dramtable tasting, with a line-up of several Irish Whiskies.

This Whisky Wednesday I brought an 8-year-old Balblair by Kintra as a sample on my walk, to celebrate Burns Night with this Highland dram.

This 9-year-old Williamson from The Maltman is an amazing independent bottling from the Laphroaig Distillery. Raw and unforgoving!

This Ardlair 2011 is an unpeated offering from the Ardmore Distillery. The Ultimate by van Wees bottled this particular release.

Port Charlotte 10 is an amazing Islay Whisky from the Bruichladdich Distillery. A complex dram begging to be explored.

The Arran 10 is an amazing “bang for your buck whisky”. Un-chillfiltered, natural colour, and bottled at 46% ABV. All for less than 35 euro.

This GlenDronach Port Wood has been aged for three year in port pipes, giving a rich an full-bodied port influence to this delcious dram.
